What Color Is Your Town Today?

It isn't the obvious answer, you know.

Not many people on the trail today, but they all had big grins on their faces, just like I did. I'm not a huge fan of snow, but I do like events that stir things up a bit, give me a fresh perspective, and make me see ordinary things in a new way.

Well, Gosh!

Not a blizzard. Not the predicted Snowpocalypse. But a bit more snow that this neighborhood typically gets. And little ole me with nowhere to be but here, gazing out windows and filling bird feeders. Nice.

Work in Progress

Remember the chair I chose for this year's Northwest Furniture Bank's Chair Affair? Here's an update:

It is still a work-in-progress, but it's getting there. I'm having lots of fun cutting little gingko leaves out of--- yep--- security envelopes. What lovely patterns those envelopes have. They look like fabric, and just seemed to call out for a bit of gold leaf bling.
I'll be putting together a little hand-bound book to go with the chair, but I have not started that yet. It appears I may have plenty of time this week. We are waiting for a big snow storm to hit tonight.

Well, OK, disclaimer time. This is the Puget Sound, land of Relatively Mild Winters. When I say big snow storm think more Venti Americano than Entire Pacific Ocean. Still, it's a good excuse to stay home and get creative.
